Self Portrait Sunday

Last week my head was stuck on the fact that my camera had died. I didn't even think about my web cam, even though other participants were using theirs. So, anyway, here you go. Me, early on a Sunday morning. Two sips of coffee inside me, hair uncombed and, if you look closely, there's probably gunk in the corners of my eyes.

Arrrrrrrgh! Next time I'll look closer before I put it out there. Pretend I fluffed my bangs so you can't see the half-inch of roots that are crying for attention, lol!

You can play Self Portrait Sunday too. Click on the link to see how.

Whale watching!
Winter is whale-watching time in Hawaii. I access my home via a coastal highway and it's not unusual for me to see whales spouting and cavorting off the coast as I come and go. I keep a pair of binoculars in my car so I can pull over and watch the show anytime. Most folks who live here do, I think. The minute someone with binoculars is spotted looking out to sea, other cars start pulling over and the original whale-spotter is soon joined by others who share their fascination for the behemoths. Ah, so lucky we live Hawaii.

If you've been reading my blog, you know that my camera recently died. There should be a law against living in Hawaii and not having a camera. Sure, I still need to replace my digital camera for some of the photos I want to take, but for whale watching and other situations where I can't get close to my subject, I really want Digital Binoculars to plan and shoot my pictures.

Eagle Optics carries a wide array of binocular products and accessories that will allow me to share my whale-watching adventures with you, and that's what it's all about! They also carry a full range of other optical equipment and accessories. If you're shopping for spotting scopes, digital cameras, telescopes or rangefinders, check out their inventory. Financing is free for ninety days and shipping is free on orders over $200.00. They sponsored this post and hope that you'll visit their site soon! Make sure you check out their hot deals while you're there!

Insteresting things happen while Hawaii sleeps
It's six o'cock in the morning. I'm waiting for my coffee to finish dripping so it can help my pry my eyes open. I had detoured into my home office to turn on my computer on the way to the kitchen like I do every morning. I guess it's just as well that the coffee isn't ready yet, because I'd surely have sprayed it all over the monitor when I opened my mail. See, this gal I know online recently took a European vacation. She recorded everything with her HP Camera and has been generously sharing her photos with anyone who wants to see them. But I must be very special, because she gave me an exclusive piece of a lovely collage she's making. Some of you know just why that's so special. Since you're my friends, I thought I'd share it with you also.

Coffee's ready! Y'all come on over & share a cup with me. Today's special is Kona macadamia nut.
